Game downloads take too long - what can I do?

Airtel Games on Demand can download games while your computer is not
being used to play games. Whenever you close the Airtel Games on
Demand player during the download you can check the checkbox to
continue downloading the game. Press the "yes" button and the Airtel
Games on Demand player will take care of the rest. The next time you
try to play that game it will be ready to go! Best of all, you can
"schedule" multiple games to download one after another, so if you
start downloading before going to bed the next day all of your games
will be ready. Please remember that your computer must be connected to
the Internet for the downloads to work, and the only way to start this
feature is to close the Airtel Games on Demand player during the
download process.

In order to switch between the two packages please contact our support
team here.

Why do I need to download and install the Airtel Games on Demand
Player (EXEtender) ?

All games on the Airtel Games on Demand service run from the EXEtender
Player.

Without it, you cannot use the service. The EXEtender Player must be
downloaded and installed onto each PC from which you want to use the
service.

How do I launch a game?

There are 2 ways to launch a game:
1. Click the Play button on one of the game list pages, or
2. Click the Play button on the game page

The EXEtender Player opens and starts to pre-cache the game. You can
begin using the game as soon as the necessary pieces of the game are
on your computer. The Play button will be activated on the EXEtender
Player when the game is ready.

Why do I have to pre-cache a game?

Pre-caching is the process by which parts of the game are loaded into
your EXEtender Player to make the game ready for you to use without
waiting for the whole game to download. The caching process continues
while you use the game.

The EXEtender Player continuously stays one step ahead of the game and
caches data files before they are required by the game. This ensures
that you experience the highest quality gaming experience, along with
the shortest possible launch time for the game.

When you launch a game for the first time, a progress bar appears on
your EXEtender Player that indicates the estimated caching time for
the game.

How long does it take to cache a game?

It depends on the game! Typically it may take anywhere from a few
seconds to 30 minutes - the faster your connection, the quicker your
caching time.

Caching usually takes longest when you launch a game for the first
time.

The game should launch much quicker when you run it again.

Are games cached every time I use them?

Cached data that is stored on your PC does not have to be cached
again. Each game requires a certain amount of cached data in order for
you to start using the game. Once the required data is cached, the
game launches and you can begin using it.

The EXEtender Player continuously stays one step ahead of the game and
caches data files before they are required by the game. This ensures a
user experience of the highest quality, along with the shortest
possible launch time for the game.

Can I play games in multiplayer mode - if so, how?

Yes!

The Airtel Games on Demand service enables you to play games in
multiplayer mode, as long as the game contains a multiplayer launch
option. To play a game in multiplayer simply select the Multiplayer
option in the Main Menu of the game.

I launched a game and received a message stating that another program
or component is required in order for the game to run - what should I
do?

Go to the game’s main page on the Airtel Games on Demand website and
check the system requirements for the game to see what components you
are missing. Download and install the necessary program or component
and try to launch the game again.

I was using a game when the Service prompted me to insert a new disk -
what should I do?

The Airtel Games on Demand service mimics the same games that you
could buy on CD-ROM from the store. You don’t need a CD to run this
service, yet a game may still ask you for one. If it does, you may
need to instruct the Service to insert or switch to the appropriate
CD.

To instruct the Service to insert or switch a CD when necessary, hold
down the Ctrl+F(n) keys on your keyboard. (n is the CD number you want
to activate, so if you want the Service to activate CD number 2, hold
down the Ctrl+F2 keys on your keyboard).

-or-

Right-click the EXEtender Icon in your task bar and select the
appropriate CD number.

Does Airtel Games on Demand service offer Parental Control?

The Airtel Games on Demand service does not provide parental controls
at this time. ESRB game ratings are provided for each game on the
service and parents are encouraged to review these ratings.

For more information on ESRB game rating click here.

Can I access my account from any PC?

Yes! You can access your account from any PC, as long as you are
connecting from Airtel Broadband Network.

If I save a game on one PC, can I continue using the same game on
another PC?

No!

The game data is stored on your PC’s hard drive and therefore,
specific information from a game you save on one PC cannot be accessed
from another PC.

Can I play the games without the internet connection?

No, you must be connected to the Internet in order to play the games.
There are two reasons for this:
1. To play, you must launch them using the "Play" button on the Airtel
Games on Demand site.
2. The first time you play a game on Airtel Games on Demand you will
download the initial cache or "chunk" of the game -- enough of the
game to begin playing. While you play, additional components of the
game are downloaded in the background.

How can I remove the Airtel Player from my PC?

To remove the Airtel Player Player:

1. Go to Start

2. Select "Programs"

3. Select "Airtel Games on Demand"

4. Select "Uninstall Airtel Games on Demand Player"

5. An uninstall tool will launch and you will have the option to
remove all game caches and saved games, select which game caches and
saved games to keep, or keep all game caches and saved games

6. You may need to restart your computer to complete the uninstall
process
